The birbplane has finally landed! Described as “Leeds’ most emotionally devastating musical export,” (Thanks Out Of Rage, sorry Hundred Year Old Man!) Din Of Celestial Birds unleash their highly anticipated second album, Takeoffs & Landings; a concept album all about adventure, travel, and the journey of life – literally and figuratively – encompassing all the stresses and triumphs.

“We want listeners to feel these adventures; to visualise huge mountains and vast oceans. Failing that, we want them to feel joy.”
~ Din Of Celestial Birds

Catch Din Of Celestial Birds at ArcTanGent Festival later this month!

Din Of Celestial Birds have quickly become one of the UK’s most championed and hard working heavy progressive post-rock bands, known for their vibrant, visually engaging live performances. The Leeds-based instrumental quintet have often been praised for their ability to bring a sense of storytelling and heart-on-your-sleeve emotions into their elegantly textured and energetic songs.

Later this month, you can catch the birbmen at their spiritual home, ArcTanGent Festival. In October they’ll embark on a headlining UK tour supported by heavy shoegaze darlings Wildernesses.

Tickets are on sale now.

But for now, take 40 minutes to sit with and absorb Takeoffs & Landings.

“From Leeds to the world, post-rock travellers Din Of Celestial Birds take you on a journey on instrumental second album – and yes, it does stick the landing.”
