IAN are riding the crest of a wave on a giant potato crisp having just completed their joint UK tour with like-minded noise-sludge duo Kulk. Taking them from ArcTanGent Festival to Edinburgh, from London to Glossop, and many more towns and cities in between, IAN’s distinct merge of brooding atmospheres and jovial fellowship has seen the post-metal quintet march triumphantly across the biggest and smallest of stages.

Today, IAN announce their overseas debut performance, and there is no finer stage to make it happen than Roadburn 2027. IAN will join an intimidating line-up in Tilburg, Netherlands, including Neurosis, Emma Ruth Rundle, Sadness, Trhä, and Antropoceno – with many more artists, curated sets, and special collaborations to be announced soon. IAN’s powerful union of colossal sludge riffs, anguished screams, serene cello, and immersive cinematic stage visuals will no doubt feel at home amongst Roadburn’s eclectic and inspiring stages, contributing to the festival’s theme of community, connection, curiosity, creativity.
Speaking with Roadburn, IAN had this to say: “As a band we can often struggle to be sincere, but we are genuinely so excited at being asked to perform at Roadburn 2027 and to experience the community, camaraderie and cacophony that this special festival is famed for.”
Roadburn 2027 takes place April 15-18 in Tilburg, Netherlands. Tickets are on sale now.
