LISTEN TO NEW SINGLE ‘TRIXIE’ & PRE-ORDER NOW
Irish post-hardcore/skate punk quartet DazGak! are the latest band to join the roster of Floodlit Recordings (also home to Pijn, Wildernesses, Trudger and more). The punky Cork based band are back with a glow-up on their brand new EP Stimpy – their first release to feature vocals. Stimpy will be kickflipping into our lives on July 27th on CD and streaming via Floodlit Recordings in the UK, and with EU distribution by Smithsfoodgroup DIY in mainland Europe.

DazGak! have been making plenty of noise for themselves with their hi-octane live shows that often see them spilling out into the crowd. This sweat and chaos has seen DazGak! ollieing their way all over Ireland and embracing local skateboarding scenes. Self-described as “math pop”, their sound is fuelled with a biting metallic hardcore punk energy combined with the soaring melodicism and catchiness found in emo and pop-punk. Together they have brought blood, sweat and fury across Ireland, becoming regulars in Dublin, Galway, Limerick and their hometown Cork. DazGak! have also hit up the UK, playing coveted small venues such as Blondies in London and Nottingham’s JT Soar, with stop offs in Bristol and at Sheffield’s Tramlines Fringe Festival.
“A suds-y, feel-good post-hardcore inferno.”
~ Fecking Bahamas

DazGak! have shared stages with the likes of FEAR, Overhead The Albatross, a-tota-so, A Burial At Sea, Triptych, Shark Stuff, God Alone and more. The band have found a kinship in Cork’s local skateboarding scene, plus with other like-minded Irish bands including Glasseyed, Pretty LTD, Girlfriend, SilverGlass et al. DazGak! aspire that Stimpy will set a new precedent to the way they write songs, with a goal of finding new audiences, playing wider shows and travelling further afield.
“We have so much energy, excitement, and hunger. We hope that energy would be infectious from listening to Stimpy.“
~ DazGak!
