ROSCIAN are a new collaborative project and joint artistic venture between Jake Harding (Grave Lines, Dolva Sana, Dead Existence, Landskap) and Simon Mason (TORPOR). The two are well known talents in the UK metal underground, but have started Roscian through their desire to explore and delve into new sonic territory; in particular finding a new guise to express their love of synthesisers and electronic instruments. Working behind closed doors during downtime away from their main bands, the duo have written and recorded their debut full length album THE FIRST DISGRACE in their home studio, coming together gradually over a two year period. Immersing themselves into the dark realms of gothic industrial electronic music, the mixing and mastering of this record was completed by Wayne Adams (Petbrick, Big Lad) at Bear Bites Horse Studio in London. The duo will be collaborating with leftfield UK metal, drone and ambient label Trepanation Recordings for a CD and Digital release on January 26th 2024.
