MY SERVICES

FULL PR CAMPAIGNS
The lengthiest and most comprehensive service I offer. When I take on a full PR campaign on a record release I like to work behind the scenes with an artist and/or label for around 3-4 months. My goals are to structure a release schedule, write a press kit, conduct a series of mail outs, obtain exclusive premieres, arrange interviews, offer my advice and expertise, and be there for just about anything you need. I want to see an artist’s record lovingly covered by print and online magazines and blogs, as well as radio, playlists, YouTube, social media and more. I like to really get to know a record thoroughly to ensure that journalists take a genuine interest and are inspired to write detailed analysis and compelling stories about your music, with a keen attention to detail and all the correct information in place.

For full PR campaigns I please recommend contacting me at least 3 months before a proposed release date.

PRESS KITS
I write tailor made press kits formatted for both email and .pdf.
Press kits come in two different forms:

A release press kit: This press kit is tailored specifically to an upcoming release (be it an album, EP, single or music video) with the intention of sending to journalists and publications.

An artist bio press kit: This press kit is a comprehensive biography of an artist, an overview of their sound, history and achievements, and a scope of what the future holds. This is usually tailored for the attention of promoters, festivals, labels, booking agents, etc.

All press kits will be formatted with press shots, live photography, artist logos, social and listening links where required.

LABEL PITCHING
Having pitched my own records to labels, I know that it can be a very nerve-wracking experience, especially for new and unsigned artists. My goal is to take the stress away by helping an artist format their pitches, find the most suited labels and understand the deals they are being offered.

I have a wide selection of label contacts spanning different genres and countries. I’ve aided artists in making successful connections with labels including Church Road, Prophecy Productions, Sludgelord, Surviving Sounds, Trepanation Recordings and more.

CONTENT WRITING
Writing about artists and records is a huge passion of mine after years of magazine reviews, interviews and articles. I still sometimes find time to write for publications. I am also available to write roster biographies for festivals, labels, websites and programmes.

PROOFREADING
I am also a self-taught proofreader. I have helped to proofread and co-edit many articles in my years of writing for magazines. I have gradually been expanding on these abilities over time.

I have proofread longer form texts including Wallowing and Luke Oram’s Planet Loss graphic novella, and the 33 1/3 Genre Series book Death Metal by author T. Coles, published by Bloomsbury.
