How do you follow on from a mind-bending, bowel crushing Friday night headlining set from Swedish tech-metal masters Meshuggah!? You keep that high (or low end) momentum going by having Bristol sludge trio TORPOR provide the heaviest metal alarm clock, 11am sharp on Saturday morning at ArcTanGent ’24.
Playing such cathartic, ear-shattering noise and pulverising riffs must have been a surreal feeling so early, just after breakfast and coffee. But TORPOR brewed up a storm playing songs from their challenging, abrasive and emotionally raw new album Abscission on their ArcTanGent Festival debut at the PX3 stage.
